We identified Nkx1-2, a novel Wnt-dependent master regulator of early embryogenesis in mice. We discovered that Nkx1-2 controls nascent RNA synthesis, ribosomal biogenesis, and POL I localization in the nucleolus during preimplantation mouse embryo development. This was a collaborative work with the lab of Andrea Califano (Columbia U).
